Patchy dense fog, reducing visibility to 1/4 mile or less, will
continue across portions of the southern Appalachians this
morning. Motorists traveling along I-26 and I-40 through the
North Carolina mountains, as well as other roads and highways
across the area, should be prepared for sudden deterioration in
visibility. Slow down, use low beam headlights, and allow plenty
of distance between other vehicles if dense fog is experienced.
The fog should burn off by 10 AM.
