...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 PM EST THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Madison County in western North Carolina. * WHEN...Until 815 PM EST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 416 PM EST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches across western Madison County over the past 12 hours. Additional rainfall of one-half to one inch is possible over the next 3 hours. Runoff from this rainfall is likely to produce minor flooding in the advisory area through early evening. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Hot Springs, Allenstand, Spring Creek and Max Patch. Flooding is most likely along Little Laurel Creek, Big Laurel Creek, Shelton Laurel Creek, and Murray Branch near the Tennessee border. - Http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
